Well, after taking the tank apart, I decided to do a few mods:
It might take me a few weeks to build these extras….
Yes, the dreaded leaking bulkheads – So I had to take the tank apart and will start putting it back together this sunday. The lesson learned: Use plenty of teflon tape
I started to RO/DI some water last night and got about 26.5 gallons of pure water – I pumped them into the tank, added about 13 cups of salt (Reef Crystals) and am starting to mix it using asubmerged powerhead (water is fairly cold so I added two 100W heaters)
Factoid – I only had the actinid on – And this was taken at ISO 400, f5.0 at 1/40s – THese lights have power
Â
The canopy is on (with one 65W daylight bulb)

So, I’ll have a dirty Grey Goose

(Soorry about the grain and moiré – pictures were taken at 3200 ISO)
The reflectors and lunar LED’s are in – By the way, drilling acrylic is a pain – I broke a few bits and half a dozen screws! The glue needs to dry for 24 hrs and then I’ll run power thru it.
Â
The reflectors are reflecting the flash – That is good
I started work on the canopy – Trying to fit all the lights:
Picture tomorrow (I hope)
